My Playlist, Myself: Thinking About Pop Culture

Music is a big part of mostly everybody's lives.  To me, music play a big role as I listen to music everyday.  Akon is by far one of my favorite artists and his songs are very good.  Furthermore, I will introduce my five songs/artists that will help you to get to know me.

I love listening to Akon mainly because his music is really good in my opinion.  My playlist would consist of Don't Matter by Akon, Not Afraid by Eminem, Changes by Tupac, Same Love by Maclemore, and The Show Goes On by Lupe Fiasco.  These are just a few songs I really like just at the top of my head.  I don't really have a favorite songs and I basically listen to anything except for Skrillex or anything like that.  Some of my favorite artists are Akon, Colbie Cailat, Eminem, Bruno Mars, and many more.  These songs and many other songs are important to me because I love listening to music and life would be so dreadful without music.  I first heard these songs on the radio or I just look them up on youtube.  These songs don't really say much about me as a person besides the fact that I like listening to them.  These songs probably reflect that I basically like listening to any kind of music.  People will learn that I am probably a r&b and rap music kind of guy and what they won't learn what I actually do outside of music.  I can't really tell what people will think of me based off of my playlist because I wouldn't be able to do the same.

My playlist suggest that for me, music helps me get pump up for a big game like football.  I have always listened to music before a game because it helps me focus on the game.  I mostly like listening to r&b and rap because I like songs that talk about today's problem or any other problem that the media is ignoring instead of artist singing about their exes.  Letting the media know what kinds of problems are going on today is really that "something larger" in my playlist.
